The Central Facility for Advanced Microscopy and Microanalysis (CFAMM) is an universal research, service, and consulting laboratory for microscopic characterization of organic and inorganic materials, biological tissue and minerals applying electron beam techniques.
The CFAMM was established in January 1996 by the UC Riverside administration with the support of the National Science Foundation. The facility utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and its personnel conducts research and provides collaborative assistance, training and service to faculty and students at UC Riverside as well as to clients in industry, government, commerce, forensics and academia.
